Neurodivergent Therapy in
Northview, Grand Rapids
Constant masking can follow you through Northview life. Maybe you feel drained after navigating social expectations on East Beltline, or your nervous system goes on high alert when routines shift near Knapp's Corner. We use those specific moments as starting points so the work translates directly into your actual environment.
My approach is straightforward, grounded, and solution-focused. Sessions move at a pace that works for your brain, we honor your processing style, and we build practical strategies you can use during work calls, grocery runs, or weekend plans. The goal is authentic living, less burnout, and space to honor what your brain actually needs.
How I Help With Neurodivergence in Northview
Reduce masking and emotional dysregulation with body-based techniques you can use anywhere
Build routines that honor your sensory needs and energy patterns without forcing neurotypical standards
Practice direct communication for setting boundaries and asking for accommodations at home or work
Use Brainspotting and HeartMath to regulate your nervous system and trust your intuition
My Approach
I combine nervous system regulation with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address the thoughts and beliefs that keep you stuck in masking mode. When it serves your healing, I use Brainspotting to access the automatic responses and conditioning that talk therapy alone can't reach. I also integrate HeartMath to help you trust your body's wisdom over societal pressure. We set goals that fit your actual life, assess what's working, and adjust strategies to fit a realistic Northview week.

FAQ
Do I need to live in Northview to work with you?
No. Many clients live throughout Grand Rapids, including Rockford, Comstock Park, and Forest Hills. The Northview focus simply helps us connect skills to your specific routines and surroundings.
What will we address first for neurodivergence?
We start by mapping how masking and executive functioning challenges show up in your day-to-day life. From there, we develop concrete regulation tools, communication skills, and strategies you can use before meetings, after sensory overload, and during recovery time.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to get help?
Absolutely not. Self-identification is welcomed and affirmed. Whether you have ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, OCD, or simply recognize neurodivergent patterns in yourself, you'll find validation and practical support here.
Can we meet online if getting to the office is difficult?
I offer secure telehealth sessions when it's a good fit. For in-person appointments, we meet in Suite 303 on East Beltline.
